New Patient
New patients are welcome at Grosvenor Place Dental Practice in Mold. As a patient at our practice, you'll have access to preventative dental care, general dentistry to keep your teeth in great shape, and cosmetic treatments to improve your smile.
Your new patient consultation
Your first appointment will be a new patient consultation, which is £40 and includes:
- Full oral examination
- Mouth X-rays (if necessary)
- Oral cancer screening
- Discussion of treatment options
- Treatment plan and written estimate
You can pay for your appointment on the day by cash or credit/debit card.
What to expect at your appointment
Your first consultation will take about 30 minutes, and simply involves building a picture of the current health of your mouth. We will ask you to fill in a medical history form, which you can do on the day. Please bring a list of your current medication with you.
Your dentist will take a good look at your mouth. She will check all your teeth individually, and examine your gums and the skin of the mouth. The examination will also involve checking outside your mouth, under your jaw and the jaw joints. Your dentist may also take X-rays of your mouth - these are included in the cost of your consultation.
Planning your on-going treatment
After your assessment, your dentist will explain treatment options and costs for any general dentistry you might need. You can also discuss with your dentist any treatment that you'd like to have, such as cosmetic procedures.
We will give you a printed copy of the treatment discussed, along with prices, to take away with you.
Join our dental plan or pay-as-you-go
After your new patient appointment, you can make appointments for your future check-ups and treatment. At this point, you can join our dental plan, which spreads the cost of your essential dental care and gives a discount on treatment. Or, if you prefer, you can pay for your check-ups and treatment as and when you need them.

Due to a large volume of late cancellations and missed appointments, from 1st April 2019 we are implementing our policy of charging private patients for the time lost. The charge will be up to £60.
